Real relationships. Real results.

Most business problems aren't a mystery. They're just nobody's job.

I'm Richard. I work alongside business owners and managers to find what's actually holding you back — then stay in it with you until it's fixed.

First conversation is free — a full hour, no pitch deck

Who I help

Three kinds of people call me.

You don't need a neat brief. Most people ring me knowing something's wrong and not much more than that — that's a fine place to start.

Owner-managed businesses

You're running it and firefighting it

Nurseries, salons, trades, small service firms. The work's coming in, but the systems, admin, cash flow or people side is eating you alive.

Growing teams

You know the problem, not the fix

Sales have flattened, the team isn't performing, or nobody can tell you where the money actually goes. You want it sorted, not diagnosed and left.

Individuals

It's you, not the company

Starting out, stuck, or facing something you've never had to handle. Straight advice from someone who's been on the sharp end of it.

Two sectors I know inside out: recruitment agencies and construction & trades. But what I've learned running operations, systems and contracts in these industries is transferable to most business needs — the specifics change, the underlying problems (structure, process, accountability) don't. My value is diagnosing what's actually broken in your business, not just applying a sector playbook.

What needs sorting?

Start with the problem.

You don't need to know which service you need. Tell me what's happening in the business — I'll help work out what needs fixing, building or taking off your plate.

Most problems don't arrive with a neat brief. Start with what feels wrong.

Business owner reviewing a sales pipeline
01

We need more work
coming in.

The business is good at what it does. The problem is getting enough of the right people to know about it.

Build a more predictable route to new business.

What I can help with

  • Business development strategy
  • Lead generation and outreach
  • Sales pipelines
  • CRM setup
  • Proposals
  • Follow-up
  • Pricing
  • Negotiation
  • Objection handling

What changes

Less reliance on referrals, memory and hoping the phone rings.

Operations manager managing multiple business processes
02

Everything lives
in my head.

Clients, jobs, follow-ups and decisions all depend on one or two people remembering everything.

Turn the way the business works into something the whole team can actually use.

What I can help with

  • Systems and processes
  • CRM
  • Workflows
  • Job tracking
  • Client records
  • Dashboards
  • Project tracking
  • Documentation
  • Reporting

What changes

Everyone knows what's happening, who owns it and what happens next.

Business owner reviewing supplier costs and invoices
03

We're busy. But
where's the money going?

Turnover looks healthy, but margins don't. Quotes, suppliers, subcontractors and costs need tighter control.

Get a clearer grip on the commercial side of the business.

What I can help with

  • Cost review
  • Supplier sourcing
  • Subcontractor comparison
  • Tendering
  • Procurement
  • Quote analysis
  • Commercial negotiation
  • Pricing review

What changes

Better visibility, stronger buying decisions and less money disappearing through the gaps.

Manager discussing performance with a small team
04

The team needs
more structure.

Good people still need clear expectations, proper onboarding, accountability and someone making sure things actually happen.

Put structure around the people doing the work.

What I can help with

  • Recruitment
  • Onboarding
  • Induction
  • Training
  • Performance management
  • Accountability
  • Targets
  • Management processes

What changes

A team that understands the standard, the expectation and what good looks like.

Business owner reviewing website and branding materials
05

We don't look as
good as the business actually is.

The work might be excellent, but the website, messaging or presentation isn't giving customers the same impression.

Make the business look as credible as the work behind it.

What I can help with

  • Website development
  • Positioning
  • Messaging
  • Service presentation
  • Proposals
  • Marketing materials
  • Brand consistency
  • Digital visibility

What changes

A business that looks established, capable and worth trusting before the first conversation even starts.

Founder considering competing business priorities
06

I don't even know
where to start.

That's fine. Sometimes the first job is simply working out what the real problem is.

Tell me what's happening. I'll help separate the symptoms from the real issue, work out what needs attention first and decide whether I'm the right person to help fix it.

What changes

Clarity before spending money on the wrong solution.

Don't see your problem above? That's normal. Businesses rarely arrive with a neat brief. If something is getting in the way of growth, profitability or simply running the company properly, start there. Tell me what's going on →

Yes, I build these too

Real sites, built end to end.

Copy, structure and the code behind it — three recent examples.

Construction & maintenance company

Build, renovation and property-care site, built end to end.

Healthcare recruitment company

Specialist UK healthcare recruitment, with live job listings.

Pest control company

Camera-monitored pest control service, site built and managed for them.

The wider bench

When it's not my expertise, I bring in someone whose it is.

I'm not going to pretend I can do everything. What I can do is know when a problem needs a specialist, find the right one, and manage them — so you're dealing with one person instead of chasing four.

Chartered accountants

When the numbers need a professional

Cash flow that won't behave, tax, structure, or accounts that need a proper set of eyes. I'll bring them in and sit in the meeting with you.

Designers

Brand, print and social creative

Logos, flyers, banners and social content that need a design eye — not the website itself, that's mine, but the visual layer around it. People who make it match the brand instead of fighting it.

Photographers & videographers

Proof your work is worth the money

Footage and photos of the actual job. For trades especially, seeing the work done well is worth more than any advert.

You get one point of contact, and it stays me. I brief them, I manage them, and I'm accountable for what comes back.

Proof

Musa's construction business, where everything lived in one man's head.

I built the system, then ran business development and operations. Six months later the pipeline, the paperwork and the size of the jobs had all changed.

How it works

Four steps. No commitment until step three.

STEP 01

Talk

A free hour on the phone or over WhatsApp. You tell me what's going on, properly. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person.

STEP 02

Look properly

I go through the business with you — numbers, process, people — and come back with what I've actually found.

STEP 03

Agree the plan

A short, plain-English plan: what changes, who does it, by when. Fixed scope and price, agreed before anything starts.

STEP 04

Do it with you

The part most consultants skip. I'm on the calls, in the system, chasing it through until it works without me.

Why people keep me around

Calm in the chaos.

Growing up in south-east London wasn't always easy. I won't dress that up into a hardship story — what it gave me was resilience, and that's never left me.

Pressure got normal early. So when a business hits the point where the owner is ready to jump — cash is tight, the job's overrunning, two people have walked out in the same week — it doesn't rattle me. That's the environment I'm most useful in.

Most people, at that point, are deciding it isn't going to work. I'm the one still in it, working the problem, because I've been in enough noise to know it passes if somebody keeps their head.

It's the thing colleagues and clients have commented on for as long as I've been working, and it's still the most honest thing I can tell you about how I operate.

When everyone else is at the point of quitting, I'm the one who stays with it.

Client testimonials

Don't take my word for it.

“Working with Richard has given me a completely new vision for my business. I’m a small company, but he has helped me present the business on a much bigger and more professional level, while still keeping it true to who we are.

I’ve been able to put my ideas to him and he’s taken those ideas, developed them and turned them into something much stronger. I’m now genuinely proud to put my business out there.

From the website through to the new systems, technology and ideas he’s introduced, I really believe it’s going to revolutionise the way I do business.

Most importantly, throughout the whole process I’ve felt valued as a client. This feels like it’s only the start, and I’m really excited about where we can take the business from here.”

“Richard understood that the problem wasn’t my baking or the quality of what I was offering. I just needed a bit of confidence, direction and encouragement to actually start promoting my business and taking it more seriously. He never made me feel like I didn’t know what I was doing — he just helped me see what I was capable of and gave me the push I needed.”
